I am so happy I stumbled upon the artwork of Thomas Evens, aka, Detour. His colorful painting, murals and musical collaborations emit bright suggestions to highlight urban and minority subjects in color.
The use of primary colors explodes in his work jumping off the murals or canvas with so much life and energy. I plan on visiting his gallery soon and will make sure I update this post to reflect that visit!
I narrowed down my choice to hightlight on the post from his series, "between the hues". I thought it was a great name and of course once you see the art, he has already pulled out some colors to highlight, I knew I found my inspiration. He lists no titles on his work, but I am sure there is one for the image listed below, again, something for me to update when I visit his gallery.
So much is said here, with out words... and I am so inspired.
