The Power of Paint » Color Consultant Virtual and Onsite

I found this great Country Living magazine from 2013 in the library and wanted to share it with you!  It visually shows the power of paint, and how paint and color can transform a room into the space that fits you best.

The editors considered four rooms for this cover.  I like how the paint literally transforms the look and feel of each room. One gives off a beachy vibe, the next a very romantic feel. The power of paint is transformational.

Room One

The walls are painted with Bleached Slate. The turquoise chairs and green accents give the room a very calming feel. Neutral walls can be so powerful because you can make the room whatever you wish with accents and furniture.

Room Two

This room has a bright wall and is very nautical. Green can be very hard to make work on walls, but this one was done right. I like the blue chairs because they add some contrast to the room, but they aren’t too dark.

Room Three

This room used Sable Evening by Valspar. I love a good dark wall, though many people are scared of them. The pink accents create a romantic feel and lighten up the room. The white paint also adds some brightness.

All of these rooms work, but I gravitate toward the first room with Bleached Slate paint and turquoise accessories!  Which is your preferred choice?
