Its been a busy week here but I was able to squeeze in a free color consultation for my friend Emily. She was the one who replied and entered into the contest! Since she is local, I was able to do an onsite color.
Emily is looking to upgrade her cabinets, but doesn't want to break the bank with buying new ones, so she has decided to paint; now to narrow down the colors! She really liked the idea of two colors and sent me an inspiration piece you can see in this post. After looking at her beautiful quartz, we narrowed it down to Analytical Gray from Sherwin Williams for her upper cabinets, and Kendall Charcoal from Benjamin Moore for her lowers. You can see here why they both work, the warm greige and dark gray both run through the countertops. This is a great tip when choosing colors for cabinets, work with your fixed elements.
We also filmed a bit, but the video is a bit blurry.. you can check it out here on my Facebook Page.
Here inspiration came from this beautiful home on Zillow, with the dark cabinets above and light color below. Isn't it stunning?
Oh, and why we are talking cabinet colors, I wanted to introduce you all to Fine Paints of Europe Hollandlac paint. It is stunning! Check it out... this image if from Shearer Painting in Seattle, one of the top painters using this paint in the country. Isn't it gorgeous!
Many thanks to Emily for providing her home and kitchen for this color consultation, and thank you for taking time to visit! - Kelly
