Selling a home is tough. It can be stressful. It can take months if not done correctly. That's why I've teamed up with my friend Emily from Come on Home Colorado to share with you tips to get your home ready to sell. We will be sharing tips via video that I will share with you on Facebook. (If your not Following me on Facebook, you can do so here).
In a 2017, Zillow analyzed photos of more than 32,000 homes sold in the U.S. to see how paint colors might have affected the price. Here are the results:
I typically use neutrals to stage a home to sell, but it seems that blue is still America's favorite color and reflected in that study. Don't discount either one of those colors, here are a few photos to help you visualize colors to use in specific rooms when getting ready to sell.
Kitchen: White and Blue Cabinets like Hale Navy from Benjamin Moore
Bathroom: a tranquil blue like Benjamin Moore Wedgewood Gray
Living Room: A soft greige like Agreeable Gray from Sherwin Williams
Exterior: A warm greige like Perfect Greige from Sherwin Williams
Front Door: A Charcoal like Charcoal Slate from Benjamin Moore
IC: HGTV Fixer Upper
So if your thinking of selling, try painting your home the colors suggested above! I also help with occupied staging and of course colors onsite or virtually so feel free to contact me for help on getting ready to sell!
