Well hi there! Thanks so much for visiting the blog today. I've got a furniture makeover to share with you. I just can't pass up a good piece of furniture that I can add some color to! See the clean lines on this baby, it's a score for sure! If your refurbishing furniture, and are looking for ways to do it, mineral paint is a great option.
I found this piece at a garage sale for only Five Dollars!!! It is solid as a rock you guys. This small side table is very heavy, it made for quite the work out to get from the garage sale back to my house, lol! I wanted to try out Fusion mineral paint and my little guy wanted a new (small) dresser to put his t-shirts in. He is tired of putting them on the hanger - for real. Anyway, I am always looking for ways to add some affordable furniture in our home. This is a great project and will go to good use. Plus, anyone that knows me, knows that I am always looking for ways to save money, and painting old furniture is a great way to do this.
Since this will be going in my sons room, I wanted him to choose the color. He really wanted black. Guys, everything in his room is already painted black. His bed is a trundle that I took from white to black. Dressers and side tables, all black.
So, I convineced him to go for a little blue! I saw this color, Homestead blue from The Painted Estate in Denver and I fell in love. I told my son I would add some black wax to it so it would look just a bit darker. He reluctantly, agreed. lol. If your looking to buy the product you can also purchase online here. Mood Boards help inspire clients to begin to see how their space can be transformed with a few small changes. The board featured here, was created for a clean modern space, bringing some natural elements and a touch of color to the living room. It really is a space that I could really to live in. Greens are great color to use in a room that you want to rest and relax in.
Shopping links for the board are listed at the bottom of the post.
